New Mercies

As we grow older, most of us get settled into a routine each day. I often wake up before the time I need to get up, so I just continue to lay in the bed and talk to the Lord a while.
One of the first things I do is begin to thank God for His grace and mercy. I thank Him that my heart beat all night, my lungs breathed in and out, without any effort on my part. Simply put, I lived through another night. I am awake and in my right mind, (at least to me). I am also thankful for the things that did not happen during the night. Our house did not get burglarized or catch on fire through the night. Storms did not damage our modest home. I thank Him that we did not receive any early hours "bad news" calls. My family is okay, alive and well. I did not have a stroke or heart attack. I know it is all due to God's mercies.
The Bible tells us that "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV). My Lord has been far better to me than I deserve. I praise Him for His goodness and fresh, new mercies each day. I am so grateful that he saved me, my family and issued me a clear, unmistakable call to preach His Word. I am grateful to have opportunities to preach and sing in places I never dreamed.
I just felt like bragging on Jesus a bit today! Let me invite you to go to my web site, where you can look at my information and my Schedules. Some people take a look each Saturday and pray for the church and event where I will be preaching the next week. I hope some of you will do this as well. Thanks for a few moments of your time.
